WINTER CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY CONCERT

CONNECT! Winterscapes

“The pieces we are presenting are amazing in their diversity and craftsmanship,” describes Dr. Linda Raney. “They hit every note for feelings during this time of year. Don’t miss this kaleidoscope of winter.”

Mary Had a Baby is a rollicking and joyful arrangement by Philip Kern which combines the African American spiritual with the energy of the Gospel train and Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. The serene Snowflakes, by Zachary Wadsworth, features a haunting saxophone melody and describes the experience of softly falling snow. Arranged by Ed Henderson, the traditional carol I Saw Three Ships has an exciting twist. Connect with a variety of vignettes of this magical season.

We are pleased to have saxophonist Dave Anderson and percussionist Diana Sharpe join us as guest artists for these concerts.
